Revelation Update! I’m taking some time this summer to completely update my commentary on the Book of Revelation, first posted in 2006. Accordingly, I’ve removed the old version from the site and will be posting the updated version chapter by chapter as I complete them. Each time I post a chapter I’ll announce it here, so be sure to watch for it. You can view the introduction and chapter 1 now by clicking here.

The Spirit of Anti-Christ
Posted May 5th, 2012 in Spiritual Life
Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us. (1 John 2:18-19)
The Promise Of A Lifetime

Last Week’s Feature Article by Jack Kelley
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well (Matt. 6:31-33).

Does God Hear A Silent Prayer?
Posted May 11th, 2012 in Ask a Bible Teacher
Q. I heard a preacher this evening on television say that God did not hear a prayer unless it was verbally stated. He said that God did not hear a silent prayer and also that we should be kneeling when we pray. Do you agree with that? I cannot kneel anymore and a lot of time I pray silently and have always thought He heard me and answered. Also if He does not hear silent prayers, how do the people who cannot talk and use sign language get their prayers through to Him?
More Mountain Moving Faith
Posted May 11th, 2012 in Ask a Bible Teacher
Q. I have recently been having a heated discussion re Mark 11.23 in regards to what exactly is the mountain that is mentioned in this passage? It is obviously not literal. Is this passage a teaching on positive confession doctrine or something else?

A Bible Study by Jack Kelley
Prologue
The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testifies to everything he saw – that is the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ. Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it, and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. (Rev 1:1-3)
Saying Jesus Is Lord
Posted May 10th, 2012 in Ask a Bible Teacher
Q. I have a Question about 1st Cor. 12:3. I have a lot of associates who believe that because certain pastors say that Jesus is Lord, that they must be genuine because this verse says only by His spirit are you able to say that. Yet it is clear that some of these pastors, namely prosperity types, have nothing to do with the Lord at all. Can you explain this please, and other verses like it, so people won’t be deceived?
The Destruction Of Babylon
Posted May 10th, 2012 in Ask a Bible Teacher
Q. I am studying the book of Isaiah and am in Chapter 13. In the 20th verse Isaiah prophesied that Babylon will never be inhabited through all generations. This being the case, how can Mystery Babylon of Revelation 17 & 18 be the same city?
